Monica is a Research Technician in the Richards Lab. She recently joined the lab to care for our furry Australian friends.
She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Animals Sciences, with a focus on animal breeding and genetics, from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She has extensive experience with rats, mice, Guinea pigs, gerbils, geckos, snakes, cats and dogs.
Outside lab she is involved in gardening and everything boy scouts with her husband, daughter, and son. She is involved in dog training, showing, and agility, as well as active in guinea pig shows with the American Cavy Breeders Association.
