Lynda Wilmott, PhD

Lab Manager/Staff Scientist

Lynda is a Staff Scientist in Dr. Richards’ Lab. She currently has her hands in many projects–from getting the lab set-up to helping establish the only fat-tailed dunnart colony in the USA. Her research utilizes fat-tailed dunnarts to investigate whether early activity patterns are critical for later brain function.

She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Fairfield University in Connecticut. Her M.S. and Ph.D. were earned at the University of Texas at Dallas where her research focused on the role of calcium channel blockade on memory.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, playing the piano, traveling, and spending time with her 3 dogs, husband, and toddler.
