Ryan is a Senior Scientist in Dr. Richards lab. His research interests revolve around understanding how congenital disruptions in cortical connectivity affect brain structure, function, and cognition in general. Ryan is particularly interested in how neuroplastic adaptions in the brain can rescue lost or degraded functionality.
Ryan is a magnetic resonance imaging physicist by training; he received his Ph. D in Nanotechnology from Western Sydney University, Australia, but elected to take up a postdoctoral position at the Queensland Brain Institute, Australia, to learn more about the neurosciences.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys coding, puzzles, and games, and is quite fond of solving cryptic crosswords.
