Thesis Title: The onset, early dynamics and cortical-area specificity of neural activity in the developing neocortex of the fat-tailed dunnart
Description of Research: I developed a novel in vivo assay for studying cortical activity in early development using an Australian marsupial (the fat-tailed dunnart), and used this assay to describe the onset and early developmental dynamics of neural activity in the somatosensory and visual cortices.
