WU China Care is a student run club dedicated to improving the lives of Chinese orphans abroad as well as introducing Chinese culture to the community’s Chinese adoptees through mentorship and cultural activities.

They achieve their mission through four committees:

  1. Dumplings: mentorship program for children ages 9 and under. They hold monthly playgroups to teach local Chinese adoptees about their Chinese heritage and culture.
  2. Chopstix: their other mentorship program between university students and local adoptees ages 10 and up. The goal is to foster a relationship, provide guidance, and build a support network that will last a lifetime. (4 year commitment)
  3. Fundraising: holds monthly fundraisers (usually bake sales) to support a Chinese orphan’s medical surgery, as well as provide supplies and food for orphans and foster families.
  4. Advocacy: hosts events, podcasts, and other activities to advocate for China Care’s mission as well as address issues faced by trans-national adoptees and Asian minorities.
  5. Summer Service Trip: volunteers fly to Beijing, China over the summer for 2 weeks to help take care of Chinese orphans.
