Hong Kong Students Association is the premier source of Hong Kong culture and entertainment on campus. They promote the understanding and appreciation of Hong Kong’s unique background in history and culture by hosting fun and engaging events at WashU. They reach out to the entire university community – whether you spent your entire life in Hong Kong or you just learned of its existence five minutes ago, they welcome you to come to events to learn more about this metropolis!
HKSA hosts one to two events per month at WashU, and their events often serve Hong Kong cuisine for free. Their most popular events include the annual Lunar New Year Banquet, in which students enjoy a traditional Chinese dinner and performances in the company of their friends, and HKSA Hot Pot Night, during which their guests escape from the winter cold around an all-you-can-eat hot pot dinner. They also host the HKSA Dim Sum Social, Hong Kong Express (where they serve Hong Kong street food with a movie), Casino Night, Gameshow Night and Mahjong Night.
