Lunar New Year Festival (LNYF) is a completely student-run production that seeks to inform the Washington University community about the traditional and contemporary aspects of East Asian cultures, to engage individuals from different ethnic groups in both traditional and modern East Asian pastimes, and to foster an atmosphere of cross-cultural awareness and appreciation. LNYF enables the Washington University and St. Louis community to explore East Asian heritage through a variety of exciting performances of acting, dancing, and music. In addition to preparing for our annual production, LNYF also puts great value in philanthropy and actively seeks to give back to the local and/or global community through fundraising efforts and volunteer work.
All students are welcome to come learn and audition for their skit and dances. They put on a performance with 3 shows every year at the beginning of the Spring Semester, and they hope to see you there!
