Social Justice View this post on Instagram As Pride Month comes to an end, we wanted to say a final Happy Pride Month from CSA! Thank you for sharing @cclc_at_usf ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Repost from @cclc_at_usf • Happy Pride Month! 🌈 CCLC would like to highlight Chinese Americans who proudly represent the LGBTQ community! LGBTQ in China: Homosexuality was only recently decriminalized in 1997 and removed from the country's official list of mental disorders in 2001. To this day same-sex marriage is illegal in China, however just last December in 2019, their request for legalization was responded to by Chinese top legislative officials. Although this is not equality, it is a step in the right direction for change. As the month wraps up, we’d like to encourage others to continue fighting for equality. It’s important we strive to understand, support, and accept everyone in our community.
