Patrick is a clinical doctoral student working under Dr. Deanna Barch. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University. Before joining WashU, he worked in a behavioral neurogenetics lab, using a zebrafish model to study the biological regulators of behaviors related to psychopathology. He later served as a research assistant on the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study. Patrick’s research focuses on how early life adversity contributes to neural changes and impacts cognitive function, particularly in executive function, eventually leading to functional and affective challenges.
