Nancy Arthur is a third-year postdoctoral research fellow in Dr. Francesca Ferraro’s laboratory in the Division of Oncology, Internal Medicine. She completed her graduate studies at Christian Medical College, Vellore, India, and moved to Washington University in St. Louis to pursue her research interests in studying therapeutic vulnerabilities in leukaemia.
Nancy is the lead author in an exciting new study from the Ferraro lab, which shows that MYC mutations drive faster leukemogenesis by altering RNA transport and stability, enhancing tumour growth. These findings reveal key non-transcriptional roles of MYC in cancer and point to new therapeutic targets in MYC-driven malignancies. https://aacrjournals.org/clincancerres/article/30/16/3622/746778/Missense-Mutations-in-Myc-Box-I-Influence
