2023 Outstanding Postdoctoral Mentor Awards
This award goes to a current postdoctoral appointee at Washington University who is nominated by their mentees. It recognizes the postdoc for their commitment to building up and supporting undergraduate and graduate mentees on their own scientific journeys. This year, two postdocs have been selected for this award.

Publication Highlight

CONGRATULATIONS to Dr Ho-Chang Jeong, a postdoc in Batista lab who along with a brilliant team published their work titled ” USB1 is a miRNA deadenylase that regulates hematopoietic development ” in Science.

This work determines the molecular basis of a pediatric disease ( defects in the production of blood cells), identifies new roles for USB1, and suggests a possible therapeutic intervention for patients.
