Dr. Laura Gauer Bermudez is the Director of Evidence and Learning at the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery where she leads the Fund’s Evidence for Action Framework. She has 15 years of experience working globally with governments, NGOs, and multilateral institutions focused on the intersections of migration, protection, gender equality, human rights, and economic development. Her past experience includes technical advisory, program management, and consultancy services for organizations such as World Vision, the International Rescue Committee, the International Organization for Migration, Save the Children, ChildFund, the U.S. Department of Labor, UNICEF, Plan International, and the CPC Learning Network. Dr. Bermudez draws upon her years of experience in NGO operations and agency-based research, blending her expertise with academic training in social science research methods.
