Washington University has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 epidemic since its emergence. The university’s Crisis Management Team has been activated and is meeting regularly to determine the appropriate proactive measures to take in order to mitigate this evolving public health threat, following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Department of State, our infectious disease experts at the School of Medicine, and local and state public health agencies. School of Medicine leadership and Medical Public Affairs also are in regular communication and coordinating response activities with our Barnes-Jewish Hospital and BJC HealthCare partners.
