The plastic surgery residency training program is a 6-year “Integrated” Plastic Surgery Residency.

The Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program at Washington University School of Medicine is an ACGME*-accredited pathway into plastic surgery in which a medical student matches directly from medical school into a six-year plastic surgery training program; all six years of training are provided under the direction of the plastic surgery program director.

The applicant must have received an MD or DO degree from an institution accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Graduates of schools of medicine from countries other than the United States or Canada must present evidence of final certification by the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
