Q&A with Sydney
Before becoming a CEL Scholar, which CEL program did you participate in? I participated in two: SBI (Mr. Fresh) and CELect Tel Aviv (Klearly Fintech startup)
What do you wish students knew about the CEL? I wish students knew how much you grow not only academically but as a person. The CEL gives students the special opportunity to apply concepts learned in class to real life through their client-focused projects. Through my experience in the CEL, I advanced my soft skills, such as time management, communication, and strategies for navigating conflict.
What is your favorite thing to do in St. Louis? Go to the Zoo in Forest Park!
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would go to Tokyo because it has been one of my dream destinations!
If you could instantly become an expert in any subject, what would it be? I would become an expert in languages; I would love to be able to speak many different languages!
What was your first job? Certified Starbucks Barista trainer.
