Q&A
What is your favorite thing to do in St. Louis? I enjoy walking around St. Louis. In particular, I love ‘artsy, smartsy’ adventures! I enjoy driving up Art Hill and looking over the gardens and at the fountains. I also love the Chess Museum! The World Chess Hall of Fame, located in the Central West End, boasts the world’s largest chess piece (it is really big) and offers a range of exhibitions and a shop with chess-related items (really cool souvenir shop). Taking pictures in front of the Museum was a complete vibe! It allowed me to smile and be a kid again.
If you could hop on a plane tomorrow and go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Israel/Jordan/Egypt – I want to go on a biblical tour of each of the countries, but I want a local to guide me through understanding the cultural nuances that may hinder a clear understanding of the land.
Last book you read? Bible – I am attempting to do a ‘deep dive’ by reading cover to cover across several translations. Right now, I have divided the NIV version, up next the Ancient Eastern texts. A new goal is that I aspire to be a biblical scholar.
What was your first job? Telemarketer – Customer Sales Agent for AT&T
Is there anything you would like students to know about the CEL? The amount of skill sets that can be acquired and utilized during team projects is indescribable! If I could go back in time, I would try to create a student organization that resembled what was built here in the CEL. The ability to participate in student teams in which students can work directly with clients was unheard of for me, and the ability to employ such skill sets as problem-solving and leadership leaves me speechless.
