Q&A

What is your favorite thing to do in St. Louis?                                                                                                 In the warmer weather, I love going to the Tower Grove Farmers’ Market. I also love taking cooking classes, swimming, trying new restaurants, and going to STL City soccer matches.

If you could hop on a plane tomorrow and go anywhere in the world, where would you go? If I could go anywhere tomorrow, I would go to Botswana and Namibia to see the deserts and sand dunes, learn about the incredible wildlife, and get to know its food and culture.

Do you have any tattoos? What/Where are they?                                                                                            Yes, one, an outline of the continent of Africa. I lived in rural Malawi for 3 years and traveled around Southern and Eastern Africa, and these three years had a huge impact on my life.

What’s something you’ve never been able to do well?                                                                                  I cannot draw. I reached my fullest potential in the 4th grade and I haven’t improved since.

Is there anything you would like students to know about the CEL?                                                      CEL projects can be hugely impactful if you invest in developing meaningful relationships with your team members, faculty, and clients. Enjoy the experience, push yourself to learn and grow, and ask lots of questions along the way!
