Swanne Gordon, PhD
Swanne has achieved several prestigious fellowships and secured funding throughout every stage of her academic training.
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Swanne was an Assistant Professor of Biology at WashU, now Assistant Professor at Cornell University
She earned her BSc at Michigan State University, MSc at McGill University in Montreal, and PhD from University of CA, Riverside and did a postdoc fellowship at University of Jyväskylä Finland

Swanne’s research asks: Why is there diversity in nature and how is it maintained? She uses the rapidly evolving Trinidadian guppy and the Aposematic Wood tiger moth as study systems
In addition to serving on the board of Women & Non-binary People of Color in Ecol. and Evolutionary Biology Swanne is also a member of the Canadian Black Scientist Network and belongs to several field-specific societies
Swanne loves animals, recently becoming the proud parent of a shelter puppy
