Mara McKown
Mara McKown graduated with an MPH/MSW in May of 2023 from the Brown School at Washington University. Mara worked on the Education Equity and Quality in Afghanistan and Pakistan (EEQAP) project and the CRAS project specializing in survey creation. Mara’s prior experiences include refugee resettlement and immigration work in St. Louis at the International Institute and teaching math and health as a Peace Corps volunteer in Tanzania. While at the Brown School Mara has worked at an emergency youth shelter and at the CDC looking at Ebola and childhood immunizations. Mara received a BS in Biological Sciences with a focus on botany from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
