Our research investigates various aspects of cognitive and social development in children. Some of our current studies examine how children understand inheritance, the influences of parental racial socialization strategies, and how children form friendships, social perceptions, and relationships. An additional line of research looks at the extent to which social information influences the development of preferences in infancy.
While many of our studies take place in the lab itself, we also often run studies around the city! You may find us set up at the Saint Louis Science Center. We also have partnerships with many schools around Saint Louis and often test children there during the school year.
