Lori Markson, PhD

Lori Markson is the Director of the Cognition & Development Lab, a Professor of Psychological & Brain Sciences, and the Faculty Director for Undergraduate Research in the College of Arts & Sciences. Dr. Markson’s research explores social-cognitive development, with a focus on how infants and children learn from and think about other people, and whether this differs across social groups. Her current research explores the development of epistemic and social trust across diverse contexts, children’s understanding of race and systemic racism, thinking about the common good across different cultures, and pre-empting the development of prejudice.
