September 2024: Congratulations to graduate student Anj Barrett for being awarded the Kenneth B. and Mamie P. Clark Grant from APF. The title of the project is “A Cross-Cultural Exploration of How Environment Impacts Children’s Learning and Social Preferences in Educational Contexts”. Anj will be conducting the study in her home country of Jamaica.


May 2024: Congratulations to our C&D Lab seniors Kayla Harrington and Emily Langston for graduating and successfully completing their Honors Thesis projects! Kayla is currently attending WashU Law, and Emily is pursing a Master’s in Counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary.


December 2023: Congratulations to graduate student Grace Reid for successfully defending her dissertation and graduating with her PhD from WashU in Psychological and Brain Sciences. She has accepted a post-doctorate position at Haverford College.


May 2023: Congratulations to our Research Coordinator Rachael Silberstein who will be attending Boston University in the Fall to pursue her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology.


May 2023: Congratulations to our C&D Lab senior, Angela Diaz for graduating and successfully completing her Honors Thesis project. Angela will be pursuing her Master’s in Public Health at FIU this Fall.


January 2023: Congratulations to our Research Coordinator Anj Barrett for graduating in December and being admitted into the Ph.D. program in Psychological and Brain Sciences at WashU for Fall 2023. Anj will continue her work in the Cognition and Development Lab with Dr. Markson as her mentor.

May 2021: Congratulations to our C&D Lab graduates of 2021, Rachael Silberstein, Amanda Yu, and Emily Bernstein! Rachael will be remaining in the lab as Research Coordinator, Amanda will be pursuing her master’s degree at the Olin Business School, and Emily has accepted an exciting research position at Yale University.
