Driving Directions

The Cognition & Development Lab is located in Somers Family Hall (formerly the Psychology Building) on the Danforth Campus at Washington University — on Forsyth Boulevard and Tolman Way between Big Bend Boulevard and Skinker. Reserved parking for the lab is located on Forsyth and Tolman Way directly in front of the building. As you enter the parking lot you will see a parking space with a red sign marked “Reserved for Cognition and Development Lab” — this is where you should park.

Driving Directions to C&D Lab

SOMERS FAMILY HALL BUILDING MAIN ENTRANCE, VIEW FROM FORSYTH BOULEVARD:

Entrance to the Psychology Building from Forsyth

A researcher will greet you at your car with the parking permit. Since we only have one parking spot available, please arrive at your appointment time (not early), as another participant may be finishing up. If you arrive early, please call the lab at (314) 9351. Please do not enter the lab without a research assistant as other appointments may be taking place.

Using GPS: Enter “Psychology Building” OR “6408 Forsyth Blvd.” This address is for the building directly across from the Psychology Building, where our lab is located. Once at GPS destination, turn onto Tolman Way.
From Central/West: Take Ladue to I-170 S. Take exit 1E to merge onto Forest Park Parkway. Turn right onto N Big Bend Blvd. Turn left onto Forsyth Blvd. Turn left onto Tolman Way.
From West: Take I-64 E/US-40 E to I-170 N. Take exit 1E to merge onto Forest Park Parkway. Turn right onto N Big Bend Blvd. Turn left onto Forsyth Blvd. Turn left onto Tolman Way.
From Downtown: Go West on Market Street, which turns into Forest Park Ave. Continue on Forest Park Ave until Skinker Blvd. Turn left on N. Skinker Blvd. Turn right on Forsyth Blvd. Turn right on Tolman Way.
From South: Take Hwy I-270 N and merge onto Hwy 44 E via exit 5A. Take the Jamieson Ave exit, 284A. Turn left onto Jamieson. Turn left onto Arsenal. Turn right onto McCausland, which turns into S. Skinker. Turn left on Forsyth Blvd. Turn right onto Tolman Way.

After turning onto Tolman Way:

Immediately turn RIGHT into the parking lot parallel to Forsyth. Our parking space is on the right just past an archway, marked with a red sign saying “Reserved for Cognition and Development Lab.” (Note: this spot does NOT have a number). If this spot is taken, park in the nearest available space.
