Deezhi Thinn

Deezhi Thinn is a first year MSW student and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Brigham Young University. She is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and was raised on the Navajo Reservation. Her concentration is in American Indian/Alaskan Native studies and aims to provide mental health resources to Native communities throughout the country. Deezhi has experience in providing diverse populations with mental health support such as individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, youth and adults with eating disorders, unhoused adults, and refugees. Previously, Deezhi worked as an Administrative Supervisor in Community Support Programs at a nonprofit that provided therapy, case management, adult rehabilitative mental health services, and peer support to low income and unhoused adults. Deezhi seeks to become a licensed clinical social worker so she can provide therapeutic interventions to Indigenous populations.
