Natalie Moyer
Natalie Moyer is a second year MSW student who is descended in part from Indigenous people in Central America and southern Mexico. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Family Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. Natalie is interested in the impact of trauma on the development of young people and how the negative impacts of traumatic experiences can be countered with the integration of cultural wellness practices and culturally connected programming in the public school system. Her ultimate goal is to contribute to education reform efforts with a focus on making education supportive, inclusive, and affirming of Native students and their identities.
