Teresia Mutavi, PhD

Dr. Teresia Mutavi is a psychiatric Social Worker and currently holds a faculty appointment as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Nairobi, school of medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences. Dr. Mutavi is passionate about child and adolescent mental health including interventions on improving mental health outcomes among children and adolescent. Dr. Mutavi was a Global fellow in the project entitled Strengthening Mental Health and Research Training-Africa (SMART-Africa). In her research work, she has been a co-investigator for Ensuring Quality in Psychological Support (EQUIP) project and currently she is one of the consultants involved in the implementation of (Psycho-education, Relaxation, prOblem solving, Activation, Cognitive Therapy) PROACT project study for Adolescents and youth in HIV Care. Dr. Mutavi has published widely in the area of child and adolescent mental health.
