Dr. Jessica Untz Lee is a forensic medical examiner and sexual health doctor. Her research focuses on improving structural responses to violence and abuse and particularly on building better systems of care and accountability for survivors. She champions community-engaged methodologies such as PhotoVoice. For her fellowship Dr Untz Lee will complete a community-embedded systematic review of barriers and facilitators to accountability for sexual violence. She hopes to better understand the Complex Adaptive System surrounding impunity for sexual violence across context, and the landscape for interventions to reduce impunity. Dr Untz Lee will be based at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
