Catherine Musyoka Amulundu, PhD, MSc

Dr. Catherine Musyoka Amulundu is an early career researcher with a PhD in Clinical Psychology (December 2021). She is a researcher and trainer with over 20-years of experience in clinical healthcare and clinical psychology. Over 10 years of her experience is in teaching mental health at the college level both in the classroom setting and in clinical areas. Dr. Musyoka Amulundu’s research focuses on using technology (mHealth) interventions for substance-use demand reduction and mental health practice for children, adolescents, and young adults. She seeks to establish the psychology of substance use and its effects on the youth, as well as how to use peer relationships for prevention promotion of mental wellbeing and prevention of alcohol and drug use and promote mental health literacy among these vulnerable groups. Dr. Musyoka Amulundu possess a strong intellect and have an amiable but tenacious approach to executing my responsibilities. She fits in well in new and challenging environments and is able to work with minimal routine guidance.
