Ryan is a fifth year graduate student in the Computational and Systems Biology program. He works in the lab of Dr. Barak Cohen, where he uses machine learning to understand gene regulation in the retina. Ryan received his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied Genomics & Computational Biology and Computer Science. Ryan enjoys scientific communication and is especially interested in the societal impacts and implications of machine learning and big data.
