We are actively recruiting post-doctoral fellows with an interest in protein biochemistry and engineering, signaling biology, immunogenomics, and developmental T cell biology. Ideal candidates will have a background in immunology, biochemistry or cancer biology, and have a PhD or MD.
Our lab is located in the midst of several other labs in the Section of Stem Cell Biology. There is ample opportunity to collaborate with these groups to add bioinformatics, genomics and proteomics techniques to our work. Career development is a key focus for our lab and our group at-large. We regularly present at several research in progress meetings, and participate in journal clubs.
We have several projects that would be ideal for PhD students interested in cell and protein engineering, gene therapy and editing, and translational T cell immunobiology.
Our lab is located on the 6th floor of the Southwest tower, amidst several other labs in the Section of Stem Cell Biology and is directly adjacent to the Fehniger and DiPersio labs, with the Ley lab around the corner – close proximity to other graduate students and mentors! There are many opportunities to collaborate with these labs to gain skills in genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics.
The Section of Stem Cell Biology holds weekly research in progress meetings, as well as a journal club. There are also ample opportunities to present research to the group in other settings. Our lab also participates in a monthly CAR T cell-focused research in progress meeting with other labs across campus.
We have several opportunities for motivated undergraduate students interested in exploring laboratory science and translational research in cancer and immunology.
