Relationships first, programming later

The Five-O team is committed to providing a dynamic education and community engagement program in support of SSERVI.  Dr. Bruno will work with Haleakalā National Park interpreters in Hawai‘i to develop, field-test, and disseminate place-based, NASA-relevant STEAM public engagement programming.

Key partners will include Earth to Sky and Hawaiian elders, who serve as traditional knowledge keepers. Incorporating indigenous voices allows vital integration of traditional knowledge and cultural values with Western science and technology.

At the summit of Haleakalā are Jin Prugsawan (L), the National Park Chief of Interpretation, and Barb Bruno (R), Five-O Education Lead.
