Research in our laboratory aims to  understand the cellular and molecular basis of pain and itch. We take a multidisciplinary approach to investigate the role of membrane receptors and ion channels, especially the transient receptor potential (TRP) channels, in itch and pain transduction under normal and pathological conditions.
