Edgar Guma, MBChB, MMed

Dr. Edgar Guma is a psychiatrist who is currently the head of psychiatry department for General Military Hospital Bombo. He is also a mental health advocate and volunteer lecturer at the Department of Psychiatry, Makerere University. He a spirited campaigner for the rights of people living with mental illness, their proper management, and the prevention of Mental Health conditions. Dr. Guma’s research interest is in the field of interpersonal violence and all its forms among children and adolescents living with mental illness and HIV as it inordinately affects them.
