Welcome to the WashULaw BLSA Website

Celebrating 50 Years of Black Excellence

President’s Message

Welcome to the Washington University Black Law Students Association (BLSA) website! This website provides useful information about our chapter and the 2023-2024 executive board members.

WashULaw BLSA exists to support its members by focusing on the concerns and well-being of Black students in their pursuit of success in law school. Moreover, since its founding in 1973, our organization has maintained a strong commitment to the St. Louis community. Every year we host community-building events and a variety of academic, professional, and social programs.

The foundation of the 2023-2024 BLSA is constructed upon three core pillars: fellowship, inclusion, and engagement. Our aims revolve around fostering a community of Black professionals and graduate students, encompassing individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Additionally, we strive to foster numerous networking opportunities and promote fellowship among our members within the St. Louis community. We hope to keep everyone – from our alumni to prospective students and those simply interested in learning more about our organization and community – informed on WashU BLSA’s engagements via this website, our new Instagram page (@blsawashulaw), and our email campaigns.

We invite you to explore our website and Instagram page to learn more. Feel free to email blsa@wustl.edu if you have any questions.
