Dr. Bergom treats breast cancer patients and her research laboratory focuses on using innovative genetic models to improve the therapeutic ratio of radiation therapy, with a special focus on minimizing cardiac toxicity. Throughout her training and career, Dr. Bergom has been interested in coupling basic research findings with translational and clinical research.

I graduated Parkland College in 2005 with my associates in veterinary technology and became a board certified Registered Veterinary Technician in 2006. Immediately following graduation, I obtained a job at Washington University in the radiology department in the pre-clinical imaging facility and worked there for 15+ years before joining the Bergom Lab in September 2020.

I received my BA in Psychology from Truman State University in 2012. I worked in both human and veterinary emergency clinical care before moving my focus to research. I worked on animal care teams at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Georgetown University before joining the Bergom Lab at Washington University in St. Louis.

I am an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis, graduating in the class of 2026. I lived in Branson, Missouri prior to joining the Bergom lab in the summer of 2022. I am majoring in biology on the pre-med track. Outside of school and the lab, I am on the WashU Bears football team.

I was born in Lebanon and raised in several different countries as my parents loved to travel. I enjoy diversity and meeting people from all over the world. St. Louis is my home and I love everything about it. I graduated from the American College in London with a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Managing Information Systems.  In my free time, I love to read, write, socialize with people and travel/discover different parts of the world. I have worked as an Administrative Assistant for 22 years and I enjoy and love being able to make life easier for others. Making a difference in life in any form is my main goal and objective.
