The Collegiate Chess League (CCL) is an online team chess tournament pitting universities against one another in some fast-paced blitz action! Hosted by Chess.com, the tournament attracts schools from around the world, making it a truly exhilarating experience.
This semester, the WashU Chess Club mustered up four teams (A, B, C, and D) to compete in CCL, each competing in their respective rating divisions. All four teams made it to the playoffs; Team A clinched third in their division, while Team C tore through the competition, clinching the championship title!
