Projects ongoing in Dr. Snyder’s lab study neurophysiological mechanisms that control bimanual and eye-hand coordination in the posterior parietal cortex, reference frame transformations, executive processing and the structure of circuits underlying memory. Most recently, Dr. Snyder has advanced use of functional connectivity MRI, or fcMRI, together with an electrode-based method to simultaneously record oxygen and electrophysiology from awake behaving monkeys. Dr. Snyder collaborates with Ilya Monosov, Dan Moran and many faculty in Neuroscience and Neurology in performing this work. Students working with Dr. Snyder will study medical imaging, electrode design and development, optics and signal processing in application to studies of sensorimotor activity.
