Much research in Dr. Lee’s lab spans bench research (i.e. animal models) to bedside (i.e., human clinical research utilizing multi-modal MR imaging). Dr. Lee directs the Hope Center Animal Surgery Core facility that employs two full-time animal surgeons and technicians experienced pre-clinical models of stroke, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, and models of neurodegeneration. Students gain experience with pre-clinical models of neuropathology, therapeutic intervention, and medical imaging & signal processing.
