Research experience in primate and human neurophysiology. Current research focuses on efficient multidimensional behavioral assessments and game-based training exercises for cognitive neurorehabilitation. A major collaboration is with Roman Garnett in constructing real-time perceptual models of hearing ability with relatively little data. Dr. Barbour is also Director of the Biomedical Innovation Program, which is a unique curriculum taking graduate students through an intensive educational experience identifying problems in healthcare, implementing solutions, and developing business entities to take those solutions to market.
