- TNNT students can apply for a two-year fellowship.
- Fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis, to students in their 3rd and 4th year of training (exceptions allowed only with special permission).
- To obtain funding, TNNT students submit an application including
- Copy of the transcripts
- A 500-word essay describing their translational interests and how it relates to their current doctoral research
- A support letter from their mentor.
Applications for TNNT funding are accepted annually, in mid-April, and reviewed by a subcommittee drawn from the Steering Committee and including the TNNT Director.
Fellowships are awarded first and foremost based on research interests, class performance and participation in the various activities of the TNNT pathway. Additionally, the committee aims to achieve balance across the parent engineering PhD programs to build a diverse cohort.
Questions should be directed to TNNT Director Dan Moran.
