Working primarily in zebrafish, Dr. Bagnall uses optical and genetic means to reveal how sensory input in vestibulospinal neurons is functionally mapped onto the spinal output circuitry. Students in her laboratory will learn methods of optics, signal processing, genetic engineering, and photovoltaics in advancing the neuroscience of sensory function.
