Have you heard of the International Day of Light!? To facilitate learning and understanding of light in daily life more deeply, WashU’s Spectra is hosting a brand-new virtual activity. To inspire this, a fun contest will be implemented, called ‘#SpectraLight’. 🥳 This video contest will be presented to inspire other participants to remember science can be fun! 🥳
The video contest is particularly geared towards ways in which light can be used as a medium of expression. As an entrance to the competition, a short video will be requested. Ideally, any video of length less than 3 minutes, of any style (e.g., showing light in science and technology, demos, etc..) will be accepted.
You can make your video individually or with a small group (social distancing is recommended). To spread the excitement of light science and technology to the local community, we encourage you to join us on Facebook or Twitter. The event is proudly hosted by the graduate student group Spectra and sponsored by our SPIE student chapters. We are sure your creations will blow our minds!
