Rebecca Messbarger was awarded the 2012-13 James L. Clifford Prize by the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and the 2013 Percy Adams Prize by the Southeastern American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies for her article “The Re-Birth of Venus in Florence’s Royal Museum of Physics and Natural History” published by the Journal of the History of Collections (May 2012): 1-21.
