By brain technology, we mean any device that reads information or changes activity in the brain or spinal cord.
Brain technology is unique from other healthcare innovations. With brain technologies, the human nervous system interacts with technological devices, manipulating the brain’s function and recording and transmitting brain data. This has implications for patient safety, privacy, and autonomy, among other factors.
