
Kyle Vuong
Kyle is a fifth year student in the Microbiology PhD program and studying innate immune regulation by the protein IFIT1 in the lab of Dr. Sebla Kutluay. He earned his B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Louisville and spent one year doing a research fellowship in Geneva, Switzerland, before starting his doctoral studies. Kyle is interested in science communication and mentoring and his goal is to encourage individuals from groups underrepresented in science to pursue STEM careers via outreach.
