Kevin Blake

Kevin is a fourth-year graduate student in the Plant and Microbial Biosciences PhD program. He was born and raised in upstate New York and earned a BA in Biology and English at Hartwick College. When not in the lab—and, often, also when in the lab—Kevin enjoys reading and writing about the history of science. As Director of Science Communication, his goal is to expand the ProSPER blog by working with other ProSPER writers to produce articles that are fun and engaging for a broad audience without “dumbing down” the science they’re based on.
