Abhay is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Physics, conducting experiments to simulate and study processes that occur on the Moon’s surface and developing instruments to enable space exploration. He completed his PhD in Energy, Environmental, and Chemical Engineering at WashU in 2023. Abhay engages in policy for science through the American Astronomical Society, advocating for a balanced budget portfolio for NASA and NSF science missions and research endeavors. In the future, he aims to leverage his space science and engineering background to aid decision-making and strategy in the federal government.
