Kaci Martin
Director of Partnerships
Kaci is a first-generation 3rd year Molecular Genetics and Genomics graduate student in the lab of Antonina Frolova MD PhD. She received a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Clemson University in 2020 where she studied hormonal effects of craniofacial development, before taking a gap year in industry at a pharmacogenomic company. She currently studies uterine atony associated with oxytocin receptor degradation during parturition. Her work has inspired her advocacy for women’s health and supporting first- generation students, which she includes in her positions as president of WiSTEM (Women in STEM), president of FGS (First-generation scholars), and Director of Partnerships for ProSPER. In her free time, she is a small business owner (Budding STEMs by Kaci) and enjoys time with her Australian shepherd.
