Pakrasi Lab research was recently highlighted on the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Lab (ORNL) website. The article is entitled “Cyanobacterial Studies Examine Cellular Structure During Nitrogen Starvation,” and features a publication authored by Pakrasi Lab research associate Michelle Liberton and the ORNL team.
Michelle performed experiments on the tBio-SANS instrument, beamline CG‑3, at the lab’s High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) to analyze light-harvesting complexes in iron-starved cells. The data generated provide new information on how cyanobacteria cope with environmental nutrient deficiencies.
