The Full-time MBA degree program is a 67-credit hour program.

Regardless of program format, all students pursuing the Full-time MBA degree will be required to complete 67 credit hours. Student cannot exceed 76 total credits during their degree program.

Students who are enrolled in a dual degree or 3/2 program should consult their academic advisor for credit requirements.

The Graduate Programs office will enroll students in all required courses for the Summer and Fall of Year 1. Students are responsible for enrollment in required coursework for Spring Year 1.
Elective Coursework

Full-time MBA students are permitted to take elective courses starting in Spring Year 1.

You can view available elective courses via Webstac. All day sections of graduate level Business courses (B6X) are available for Full-time MBA students to take, unless stated otherwise in the course description. Evening sections are also permitted on a space-available basis.

Prerequisites and foundation courses must be fully completed in order to take an elective course in that area. These requirements can be found in the course description.

MBA Career Platforms

Students completing an MBA can specialize in 5 different career platforms. Each platform requires students to complete 15.5 of their elective credits in a specific area. Coursework required to complete a specific platform can be found below. This designation will only appear on a student’s transcript and not on a student’s diploma.

Declare your platform by completing the Platform Declaration Survey by Friday, October 5th.

STEM MBA

To earn the STEM MBA, students will need to complete 33.5 STEM focused credit hours. 26 of these credit hours are completed in the MBA core curriculum. Students will need to complete an additional 7.5 STEM focused elective credits hours to earn the STEM MBA. This designation will only appear on a student’s transcript and not on a student’s diploma.

Add the STEM designation to your record by completing the STEM Declaration Survey by Friday, October 5th.
